Pack Your Car Properly for Your Trip
One of the benefits of having your own vehicle is being able to pack up and go for a road trip at any time – work or school allowing. With a luxury car, you’re probably limited on space. It’s one aspect of driving a BMW or Mercedes Benz that has to be overlooked for the speed, power, and luxury of the model. Now, that’s not to say it’s impossible to pack for a trip. Some vehicles in our line of work have incredible storage space. Here’s how to manage packing for a trip.
First, start by packing the emergency items that could easily be forgotten. If you have to, use the glove box or the space underneath each seat to store such items. Just remember where you put everything. You want them tucked out of the way but easily accessible.
Some emergency items to pack for your road trip include:
Road and first aid kits
- Extra batteries
- A working flashlight
- 12-foot jumper cables
- Two quarts of motor oil
- Tire pressure gauge
- Phillips and flathead screwdrivers
Next, you’ll want to include any essential items in your packing list. Such items for a road trip would include clothing – packed into small duffel bags with soft edges to be tucked away in the back. You should use one duffel bag as an overnight bag, complete with necessary toiletries, and keep it near to the front of your trunk space. Or, keep it in the backseat. Anywhere you can easily grab it in a pinch.
The best tip we can offer, when preparing for a road trip, is to bring your luxury vehicle in for a tune-up and maintenance before hitting the road. You never want to break down on the side of the road.
