Our History

Robert Krause’s experience in the automotive business ranges from working in a tire shop as a young man to years of experience operating and managing high-end service facilities for a broad range of luxury makes. Along the way he built a reputation for excellent work matched by the highest levels of integrity and business ethics.

In 2001, after careful consideration and lots of prayer, Robert and Karen launched Krause’s Automotive in Lewisville, Texas. “Owners of premium imported automobiles from Coppell, Flower Mound, and Highland Village to as far as Argyle and Denton were having to go to the dealerships in Dallas or Fort Worth for repairs, and even routine maintenance,” Robert recalled. “We wanted them to have an alternative to the hassles – and high prices – of the dealerships.”

As Denton County’s foremost independent service facility for BMW. Mercedes Benz, Lexus, Volvo, and other luxury automobiles, Krause’s Automotive is equipped with the sophisticated testing and diagnostic equipment to enable virtually any service or mechanical repair.

The world-class service at Krause’s Automotive has steadily attracted more customers, but Robert and the staff make sure they don’t lose the personal touch. “We like being able to greet each customer personally — and to take time to explain what we’re doing to their car and why,” Robert said. “We want each customer to be so pleased that they can recommend us to their friends and family. So that’s how we treat them — like friends and family.”
